Project Overview
Completed in 2024, this multi-phase project delivered a refrigerated cross-docking facility at Latin America’s most efficient port terminal, ranked as the third most efficient worldwide. It integrates temperature-controlled inspection zones, automated docking systems, and industrial refrigeration to ensure uninterrupted cold chain operations. Executed under BIM coordination and PMI standards, it expanded capacity without disrupting port activity while meeting stringent regulatory requirements.
Scope Highlights
Phased construction: cross-dock, inspection rooms, and staging areas.
Multi-temperature chambers: chilled (32°F) and frozen (-13°F) cargo.
PIR insulated panels with airtight validation and high-speed dock doors.
R507 refrigeration, glycol underfloor heating, and automated monitoring.
BIM-driven engineering and turnkey commissioning.
Strategic Value
This phased solution increased refrigerated handling capacity, reduced clearance times, and strengthened compliance with regulatory entities & standards, positioning the port as a high-efficiency facility for perishable imports. Work with Resof to develop port refrigeration projects that enhance cold chain performance and streamline cargo operations.
